Good review, pants. It's still not as good as the first, but let's just give up hope and admit nothing ever will be. There are some very strong tracks on this album, but a few songs towards the end simply weren't necessary. Also, it's been a while since we've had a totally energy-fuelled Living End CD that doesn't have proggy influences.
Some of it's good, but let's go back to kicking arse please, boys! Album Rating: 3. Totally awesome this album, love it to bits, and the DVD Special Eddition is a little cooler than that.
Nice review man, but be warned, i was just moments away from submitting a review of this on my own, but now i cant be bothered :D Bring on the tour! Album Rating: 5. These guys play real music. I Have mosh pit tickets to their concert YAY! I got front row for there show at the big day out this year yeehaaa, they rock, i wasn't expecting them to be as good as they where, one of my favourite acts of the day.
There new album is great, would love to see them perform the whole thing, they're so much fun to watch, even if you don't love there music. Good Review. Can't really think of another Australian punk band that has got as big as living end This Message Edited On Best album they have done i say, Apart from teh Self Titeld.
I always though it was spelt label though not lable.. Its great!! Tru Livng End fans know that they never will sellout like that. They're definitely not sellouts, but they're also definitely mainstream. Don't look at me like that, it's possible to be both. Ahh The Living End. The saving grace for Australian punk music. After 'Modern ARTillary', which wasn't as strong as it should have been, even The Living End themselves admit it, but with 'State of Emergancy', they have prooved alot of people that they can still make a really strong album.
For 'Modern ARTillary', they changed to a multi million american label Capitol Records , and were told by the label if they did what they said they will make them one of the biggest bands and they will advertise it so well that they would crack the mainstream in America, or so the story goes.
They did what the lable said, but then they just didnt like it and therefor didn't Advertise it. They swiftly said their Goodbyes to that lable and went back home to Australia and in late started recorded just out side of melbourne with their old lable.
