If you're asking if Into the Odd was originally in French then I think the answer is no. I think the people behind this took the original product and expanded upon it by adding lore and stuff. Into the Odd is an English game. The French version took the Into the Odd engine and expanded it considerably beyond the original limits; they really used it as the engine behind a different setting and concept.
