It was an interesting transformation; suddenly he was all jazzed up. Johnny Thunders was sick and tired of being Johnny Thunders. He wanted to be an entertainer and have a great band. Thunders, determined to give the kids exactly what they wanted, even started to fake it.
And in the minute it took him to walk to the stage, he went from being completely compos mentis to falling over. It was like an act. He knew what they wanted.
